Virginia State Licence

Our home daycare complies with the rules set out by State of Virginia regarding all of the regulatory standards. Our facility undergoes unannounced inspections few times in a year. Most recent visit by Office of Children's representative has passed all health and safety regulations set by State of Virginia Licensing Office. NAFCC National Association for Family Child Care
JollyPlace has become member of NAFCC in November 2009. NAFCC is one of the largest professional accreditation support systems for family child care and early care and education advocates. It provides accreditation Click here to see copy of our certificate.

Compliance with State Safety Regulations

JollyPlace facility also compiles with the Fire and Rescue Department safety. Our facility is equipped with working smoke detectors on each level of the home, working fire extinguisher (1A1OBC) near the kitchen, fire drill plan and escape route and a clear passage to the circuit breaker. Once a month we conduct fire drill, and make sure parents know what to do in case of emergency.

Toys Recall Compliance Release

We understand how important it is to make sure the toys used by our children are up to highest safety standards, and we often check for manufacturer’s recalls of any toys that are in possession of our home childcare with the government regulatory agencies responsible for product recalls that is The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission at www.cpsc.gov or www.recalls.gov. We make sure the equipment proclaimed as hazardous is removed from our childcare facility

JollyPlace teachers show qualities of effective and nurturing traits like warmth, responsiveness and inter cultural competency to develop positive relations with children and their families and to create cognitively stimulating environments. Our teachers value social and emotional development as essential school readiness factors. Training credentials are an important aspects of our teachers early childhood development education.

JollyPlace founder and director Ms. Ewelina Kakker, holds B.S. degree in psychology and is trained in early childhood development program, as well as she completed training from Fairfax County Office for Children School Readiness Collaborative Program in the following areas:

  • "Helping Children and Families Make Terrific Transitions"
  • "Understanding The Role of Early Learning Guidelines in assuring School Readiness”.

The second teacher, Ms. Indu Pradhan has extensive experience in teaching field from her home country Nepal. She’s been teaching children grades 4-8 for 12 years.
